Looking for practical advice, ideas and practical education on how to get on the path to a more sustainable lifestyle? In this series of classes – new this year to the Kona Earth Festival - top sustainability educators will offer straightforward knowledge on sustainable living. Specific techniques you can use in your everyday life will be presented along with expert tips and how-to instruction, including gardening, solar power, rainwater harvesting, alternate energy sources and more. These classes will also provide a starting point for anyone interested in learning about green jobs, green careers and specific opportunities in the new green economy. Each two-hour class presents different topics and will be held at the Gateway Center at NELHA, with a fee of $10 per class. Sponsored by Green Collar Technologies with help from the County of Hawaii and the Sustainable Living Institute.
